Spring has finally arrived bringing us some much needed hope during these times of unprecedented uncertainty. The snow is slowly melting away and the first crocuses are just beginning to bloom.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our winter season came to an abrupt halt putting us into our spring cleaning and project mode. The health and wellbeing of our valued guests, our employees and ourselves is paramount during this time of uncertainty. The Commodores Inn is working diligently and taking extra steps to make sure that everything in the building is sanitized under the guidelines for the Covid-19 pandemic to keep everyone safe and healthy.
As we all are aware this is definitely a time for ‘social distancing’ and we certainly appreciate all who are respecting that and working and staying at home. This is of utmost importance not only for your own sake but for the sake of our health care professionals who are working diligently to keep us healthy. Social distancing is also important for all of the people whose health is compromised in one way or another, and for all of the people who need to continue to work to keep the shelves in our stores stocked up with food and supplies for all of our needs.
We are all hopeful that things will start to get back to what feels like normal in the near future and we are confident that it will. For the time being our doors are closed due to a mandate from the state of Vermont. In anticipation of when we can be on the move again please check below to see our 2020 Spring Specials. There is plenty here to do to refresh and recharge your spirits with continuing to respect a safe social distance. There are beautiful walking paths and hiking trails, quiet roads and trails for biking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and much more. Until then, though, stay at home and stay safe.

While there are endless opportunities for outdoor recreation in Stowe, you’ll find that Commodores Inn can provide many peaceful & relaxing activities right in the back yard – your home away from home:
- Commodores Inn is home of the Stowe Yacht Club. Every Monday & Wednesday evening, mid May through October from 4:30-6 PM, our sailors will be racing their remote controlled sailboats. We do have extra boats for those who are interested.
- Next door to us is Umiak Outfitters, which provides Commodores Inn with a selection of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards that any of our guests are welcome to use at any time. They also offer special summer adventures for all to enjoy. Check out Umiak’s website for details.
